6. Advertising

ConnectIQ shows ads to users on the free (Basic) plan. These ads are served by Google AdMob, an advertising service from Google LLC. Users on a paid plan do not see ads, and ConnectIQ does not request ads for them.

Information used for ads

When an ad is shown, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in ConnectIQ may collect and share the following with Google:

• Your device's advertising ID, a resettable identifier provided by Android
• Device information, such as model, operating system version, and language
• Your IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location
• Ad interactions, such as ads viewed and tapped
• App performance and diagnostic data related to ads

ConnectIQ uses this information only to show ads, measure how they perform, and prevent fraud. ConnectIQ does not share your contacts, call history, notes, reminders, or meeting details with Google or any advertiser for advertising.

Advertising ID

The advertising ID is a unique, resettable identifier on your Android device. Advertisers use it to show more relevant ads and measure results. You can reset it or delete it so apps can no longer use it at any time in Android Settings → Privacy (or Google) → Ads. If you delete your advertising ID, you may still see ads in ConnectIQ, but they will not be personalized based on that ID.

Consent for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, ConnectIQ shows a consent message the first time ads could appear. The message comes from Google's User Messaging Platform and is shown before any ad is requested. You can choose whether Google may use your data for personalized ads. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalized ads, which rely only on limited information such as the app you are using and your general location.

You can change your choice at any time in ConnectIQ under More → Privacy & ad choices.

How to stop seeing ads

You can remove all ads by upgrading to a paid ConnectIQ plan.
